Challenging Times

From Friday 20 March, Gisborne Central Baptist has suspended its worship services and community programmes for the safety of our people and visitors. We all have a part to play in helping restrict the spread of this dangerous infection. We respect and adhere to the Ministry of Health guidelines and the information supplied by the Baptist Union.

Our regular programmes and services will resume when this threat is safely under control. We look forward to the day when our lives return to some sense of normality. You will be duly notified. We trust God for the day when these troubles come to pass.

The Church elders are considering different ways of staying in contact and supporting one another. We want to continue growing as a community. What shape or form this will take is still unknown. The restrictions on social contact are likely to get even tougher.

Can we encourage you to keep praying for this situation and the frightening impact it is having on the world and life as we know it. Look out for each other and stay in touch through phone calls, texts, emails and Facebook. For any pastoral concerns please contact Jim 0276215111, Michael, or one of our elders / leadership. (Details in church phone directory).

Remember our God is far bigger and more powerful than this pandemic.

Psalm 121:1,2,7,8

I Lift up my eyes to the hills-where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. The Lord will keep you from all harm-He will watch over your life. The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

And the people said AMEN. Gods blessing and protection be with you and your family.
